Long table dinner with mushrooms

Join the Long Table Dinner on November 12

Come and join the vegetarian long table dinner on November 12, when Art Hub Copenhagen, Meyers, and Thoravej 29 invite you to a mushroom-themed dinner. The evening will feature a mushroom menu presented by Langar, Meyers’ restaurant at Thoravej 29, accompanied by a mushroom-inspired artistic and cultural program.

Autumn is the season of mushrooms. They flourish in the moist soil of private gardens, parks, and forests in large numbers at this time of year. Many are edible and highly sought after, but beyond their culinary use, mushrooms have a mythological and almost spiritual significance, represented and used in cultural contexts by people around the world for thousands of years.

We will explore all of this with visual artist Silas Inoue, who will share his fascination with and use of mycelium in his work. We’ll hear about Funga Farm, which produces mushrooms in the heart of Copenhagen, and dive into the cultural history of mushrooms with Karsten Wind Meyhoff, author and co-founder of the publishing house A Mock Book.

The ticket price is DKK 150, which includes both dinner and the program. See the full program below.
